 Airway or Bias buffing wheels are the workhorse of the buffing industry. They are used in almost all buffing and polishing shops for cut down on all Metals. White Airway buffs are used for cut and also coloring operations.

The construction of the Airway Buff helps eliminate fraying and results in an economical, long lasting buff. When used with a perforated center plate insert, air passes between sections and helps the buff to run much cooler. The steel center and rigid construction allow greater pressure and faster cutting speed.

These Buffs are about one inch think. You should gang them together on the shaft of the buffing machine until you have your desired thickness.
Example: 4 buffs on your shaft would give you a 4-inch wide buffing wheel.

Airway Buffs MUST BE used with the proper size Steel End Flanges, center plates alone will not support the buffing wheel on the shaft.

All above are 16 ply buffing wheels with centerplates. Customer must provide centerhole size when ordering. The center hole should match the shaft diameter of your buffing machine.

These buffs can be used with all types of buffing compound and greaseless, they are mainly used for cut with Tripoli (#5A bar) or Steel cut compounds (#41HC). Excellent for cutting Aluminum, Brass, and Steel. More Info: SAFETY GUIDE FOR BUFFING WHEEL USERS             Back
